This hotel is an absolute gem! the location couldn't be better. It's right in the heart of town, surrounded by convenience stores, restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops. Plus, it's just a short walk to the walkalator that takes you up to the mountain for skiing or snowboarding. Talk about convenience!
All in all, everything was great!

I recently spent my Easter holiday in a traditional Japanese accommodation and it was an amazing experience. The rooms were very comfortable with tatami floors and futon bedding. The staff were very friendly and helpful, offering gum boots to use around town in snowy weather and giving a tour of the setup on arrival. They even helped me with directions to nearby restaurant areas, which were conveniently located within walking distance. The Japanese breakfast provided a great spread that kept me full for hours, and the free brewed coffee in the lobby was an added advantage to kick off my day.
The bathroom could be a bit bigger but was functional enough. The public onsen bath may not be suitable for everyone due to the high levels of steam.

We stayed in a centrally located traditional ryokan with tatami rooms that included hot spring water tub baths and 10-course dinner and breakfast. The hotel staff provided excellent service and hot coffee, with a cosy foyer for morning chats. The moving walkway and ski storage room were only a short walk up the street away from the location. We also enjoyed the Italian restaurant across the road and the small bar that serves the best hamburgers.

This hotel was a great choice for our city trip! We loved the authentic Japanese experience with traditional tatami rooms and futon bedding. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the ski slopes and many restaurants. The breakfast options were diverse and filling. We particularly enjoyed the local dishes and fresh fruit served each morning.
The bathroom was a bit small, and the lack of English speaking staff made communication a bit difficult. However, we were able to overcome this with the help of our translation app.
